Program Overview
Located in Courtland, AL, the Sequel Youth and Family Services Courtland Program is an intensive?residential treatment?program that serves male youth between the ages of?12 and 18. The program has two separate?contracts with the Department of Human Resources (DHR) to provide services to adolescent males with either severe behavioral issues or inappropriate sexual behaviors.
Position Overview
The Admissions?Director supervises and coordinates admission into?the Courtland?program. This position also completes marketing for all the Alabama Programs to local DHR offices as well as Juvenile Probation Offices (JPO).
Job Duties Include:

  • Managing inquiry calls? in a 24 hour window.

  • Completing preadmission assessments.

  • Assist with coordinating the admission process to all?Alabama?programs.

  • Facilitating referrals to other treatment facilities as necessary.?

  • Verifying insurance benefits prior to admission.?

  • Conducting pre-certification reviews and obtaining authorization for services.?

  • Developing professional relationships with referral sources within the community.

  • Complete monthly visits to local DHR and JPO offices.

  • Complete specific quality assurance tasks at the Courtland Program.

  • Complete other duties as needed at the program.

Job Requirements

  • Master?s degree in?the Clinical Field required.? Marketing experience?preferred.?

  • One year admissions experience in a behavioral health environment for youth preferred.

  • Valid driver?s license in good standing.

  • Must have strong organization skills, a pleasant?demeanor?and clear, direct communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and provide on-call support.

  • Comprehensive understanding of community resources, licensing and accreditation standards, referring agencies and resources, court systems, intake criteria, length of stay norms, budgetary influences, and discharge resources and services.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
